Whirlwind weekend…

I have just had the most fun filled jam packed weekend and needless to say I am just exhausted today! We left home early Saturday morning and after dropping children off at a Youth event, DD2 and I headed off to look at some open gardens.

One of the gardens we visited is owned by a friend(she used to teach my 2 eldest children) and she’s a quilter, so after a cuppa and catch up we meandered our way down little garden paths, surrounded by such wondrous beauty and sweet perfume.

A friend of hers also had a display of quilts, bags, cushions, doors stops and much more for sale in a spare shed

Such beautiful work and lots of inspiration! The rest of the afternoon was spent at a friends house before heading just over the road to another friends place where we met up with my other children for a BBQ tea. Followed by a bonfire of course! After supper I bundled them all in the car for the hours drive home. And that was just Saturday, I will be back tomorrow with lot’s more photo’s from Sunday’s escapade.

What a stunning weekend. I would love a spare shed like that!!!
Looking forward to seeing what else you got up to. I do love the bright quilt on the far right.
Happy days.

What great photos of a wonderful day out, wow, I wish I was there to enjoy all of those wonderful gardens and quilts. I remember seeing amazing azaleas and rhododendrons in some Taranaki gardens on our last but one visit.
