Mother, Daughter Quilt

As part of my daughters homeschooling we enrolled in a "Quilt in a Night" class. I wanted to encourage her to learn to sew, she has no desire whatsoever! So we incorporated some horses into her quilt...

These are extra pieces from a quilt she wants me to make her Lol Anyway we only got the squares stitched together that night long ago, then good ole Mum here sewed them together and it disappeared to her room before I had even snipped the edges! So last week I stole it back, clipped the edges, washed and dried it. What a difference! She wants to know why it took me so long to finish it...

I seem to be in a pink and green faze at the moment, I just couldn't leave this pack of fat 1/4s behind...
The photo doesn't do the colours justice at all, but I do have a plan for these little beauties! I have signed up the the Stitchers Angels 2009, it has a rose theme this time and I am sure I will be able to use them. A while ago I bought 2 pieces of fabric with a laundry theme, and came across another one in the range so I just had to have it...
Isn't it gorgeous! I have several ideas, so stay tuned!

What a pretty quilt Michelle. Good thing you thought to take it back from your daugther or you would've never gotten those seams clipped. Love the laundry fabric.

What a cute quilt and I like the addition of the horse blocks. I bought a special pair of snippers to make a rag quilt but haven't ever actually made one.
