Waitomo Caves School Camp

A walk through native bush… 101_6153DSCF7241 101_6160 Limestone cave…101_6161

The spiral path taking us underground…101_6199 (708 x 532) 101_6182 (708 x 532) Stalactites…101_6191 (708 x 532) Stalagmites…101_6194 (708 x 532)It was a very other worldly experience, it was rather hard to comprehend the above photo’s took millions of years to evolve. If you ever get the chance, make sure you visit, you won’t regret it! You can also go black water rafting, visit the museum, horse trekking and more.

For a little fibre fix we visited ‘the Shearing Shed’ home to German bred Angora rabbits…

I didn’t like the way they stretched the rabbit out to be shorn, though they assured us the contraption was SPCA approved and the rabbits were used to it!

I really wanted to take this oh so soft scarf home…

And this gorgeous poncho…

I won’t tell you how much they cost but I’m pretty sure my Visa would decline!
