First week of the holidays…

The first week of the holidays has whizzed by so fast! My children have spent lot’s of time on the farm in between all the showers of rain and I have been puddling about the house just enjoying not having to be somewhere or be doing something I would rather not be doing. Oh I haven’t been lazy… well not too lazy… I have cleaned windows(yeah boring but now at least I can see out my kitchen windows again, Lol)  I have milked too but the days have been mainly mine… I went visiting some old family friends with my Mum that we hadn’t seen in I don’t know how many years… and I am so pleased we did… it was kind of a random thing and we just did it… sometimes you lose contact with people who have been wonderful friends and when you met up again you just pick up where you left off… A lot of stories came out about some of the things my Mum used to get up to… Oh my! I have also pottered about in the garden this week and everything has just taken off with the rain, including the weeds… I planted runner beans last week and now look at them…

On the left you can see the cabbages and broccoli and on the right some celery. My new garden area is coming along, I hope to have a wee photo shoot soon to show you what I have done, here’s a little sneak peak so far…

Sweet Bella daisies! Today I have managed a wee bit of sewing for our monthly challenge… I have been using fabric from my stash…

Tilda Cushion

I have been saving this butterfly fabric for something special :o) All will be revealed next week after our stitching day…

Happy stitching…

Okay, you have made me feel really guilty...I'm off to clean my kitchen windows (then I might be able to see what's happening in the garden)!! Have a great weekend and I'm glad you're enjoying the holidays.
