Last month Claire gave us each a pack of fabric with a few added extras and the challenge was to make something out of them. I made several projects but feel quite overwhelmed with the inspiration and the projects created by the other KHS girls…I think Claire’s is probably my favourite by just a smidge ;O) So I will save hers to last Lol! So first up we have Nicky’s beautiful birdcage(I saw her making it, she is so clever!)…
She made such a lovely job of it, it’s not the best picture with the sun shining so brightly but we have been making the most of these sunny moments as they have been very few and far between this week. Not long after this shot was taken the skies darken and they day just grew wetter and colder… Michelle(the other Michelle) made several projects…
A beautiful Dresden plate quilt and a matching cushion, made for a dolls pram! The little girl on the cushion is so cute. Maybe I should mention what else was included in the fabric challenge pack, as well as the fabrics there were two ribbons, a key and a lock, a paper doily some paper flowers and some tulle…
The above projects are also Michelle’s! And I think I need to add that she had a very busy month and only started these projects a few days before the deadline, isn’t she clever?
Now our lovely hostess, Claire…
was busy in the kitchen when I arrived, whipping up a fresh batch of scones for morning tea…
and we played ladies, Mmmm they were melt in your mouth good! It is also Claire’s birthday month this month, here she is opening her goodies from Michelle…
Nicky and I decided to work together on Claire’s present…
Nicky decorated the cute cabinet and I made the lace holders… there is a blackboard on the inside of the door and this cute print on the front…
Happy Birthday Claire!
For lunch Claire made us Panini bread and salad, yum! Claire also had a cousin(did I get that right?) visiting from Prince Edward Island, her name is Anne, I’m not sure if that is Anne with an ‘E’ or Ann with out an ‘E’ … but just in case she reads my blog one day I wanted to leave her a big ‘HI’ right here and say how lovely it was to meet you! Claire’s mother Nancy was there too, ‘Hi Nancy!’
Ok I guess you’ve been waiting so patiently(or not, in which case you have probably already scrolled to to end to have a look!) to see what Claire’s project was… I think you are going to love this Lisa!…
I want her! We all wanted her! Isn’t she scrumptious? She is a Tilda doll… Claire enlarged the pattern to fit her wings! And it’s all there, the key the lock, the doily the ribbons, the flowers, the tulle and the fabrics! She is pretty clever too don’t you think?
I have more photo’s to share but they can wait until tomorrow, this girl needs her sleep!
Blessings
Michelle

Hello Michelle,
What a talented group of friends you have. A beautiful post filled with lots of loveliness and my goodness the presents you all made so stunning. Morning tea and lunch in that home is a delight. I just want to come and have a look around.
happy days.

What a lovely day you all had and all your projects are fabulous. When you mentioned your friend from Prince Edward Island's name is Anne but you are not sure if it is with an 'e' or not, it reminded me of one of my favourite books - "Anne of Green Gables" - Anne Shirley - Anne with an 'e' she always added, who also called her best friends 'kindred spirits'. The story is based in Prince Edward Island and the book is by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Keep having lots of fun and crafting.
Cheers, Janette
