I bought this lamp at least 6 months ago and had plans to change the shade and yesterday I finally did it! This is what it looked like before…
While I don’t mind the shade it still wasn’t the pretty look I was after. Enter the new pretty shade…
I am still thinking of adding some ric rac to it where the fabrics join, what do you think?
Or should I leave it as it is?

Great makeover Michelle! Looks very pretty now but I think the ric-rac would be the finishing touch. I am also about to makeover 2 lampshades although they are a little trickier so I hope I can manage. I'm thinking about pom-pom trim for mine.
Your lamp shade is lovely but it would look even better with some Ric Rac.
ric rac will be too cliche, from my perspective. Quit while you're ahead. very cute.
