I have started to write this post several times in the last few days and then something would happen that needs my attention and well one thing leads to another and I don’t make it back to finish it off, so hopefully this time I will make it all the way to the publish button! Since I last posted I have became another year older…and the holidays have kept us all very busy with lot’s of visitors and a few more calves… there’s been a fair bit of child sitting but they were all so easy to look after it makes it a pleasure to have them :O)…I have picked up my Dresden plate quilt again and only have 3 more blocks to do…and I am getting the odd thing ticked off my To Do List… but today I thought I would share/show off a few of my goodies I got for my birthday…
This beautiful bird cage from my wonderful children… :OD I have filled it with old and pretty bottles…
The pretty rose is from my lovely Mum and the container I bought with vouchers from Kathy and Peter(my wonderful Mum and Dad in-law :O)
The beautiful bunch of flowers is from my lovely friend Nicky… this girl sure knows how to spoil me… :O) I quite like the cross stitch effect on this photo… she also gave me a cute antique iron…
My dear hubby bought me a gorgeous Cath Kidston bag very similar to this one…
I used it today on a little crafting trip and I had plenty of pockets to carry all the bits I needed…:O) And last but not least my sister and her family gave me a beautiful white wrought iron toilet roll holder, lol. Yes we needed one! The ones that ‘belong’ to the house are very cheap plastic ones and have broken several times we have replaced them each time and even tried to glue them…;O) the other day when my sister was visiting she had an ‘aha’ moment and knew just what to get me… I must admit it certainly wasn’t something I was expecting, but I love it just the same ;O)
Now I think I’ll wander off to bed…a weird thing to say maybe but before I actually reach my bed, I’ll first wander by the kitchen to make sure the dishwasher is on and the kitchen tidy(ish) for the morning, then wander past the door to check they are locked, then check on the kids(that is if they are not still up!) maybe put on a load of washing…etc
Blessings
Michelle
