Do you see what I see?

Look really really close at this photo… tell me what do you see?

Do you see something white with black spots?

Well… that is our totally useless but gorgeous dog! You probably haven’t seen her on my blog in a while… we kinda have this love/hate relationship going on at the moment…Pebbles loves to sleep in my garden and I obviously hate her sleeping on my garden! At least this garden is still a work in progress and hasn’t got many plants in it… for her to squash! Her other favourite sleeping spot I have boarded up with unsightly sticks! So she found another one… ;O)

I have finalised my seed list(see yesterdays post) and placed an order…Today the surfie son and I put this cloche(from ‘The Warehouse) together…

We have been having a few frosts lately so I thought the new seedlings might need a bit of extra protection…

Tell me do you grow your plants from seeds? Or buy seedlings? Or both?

The plants I currently have in my vege garden were all bought as seedlings…

Here they are a couple of weeks ago when I first planted them and here they are now…

I have also planted Kale again this year as we had a great crop last winter… I had never grown it before… Have you? Our favourite way to eat it is to chop it up finely(after washing it of course!) throw it in the frying pan add a little salt and pepper, a squirt of oil and about a tablespoon of water, turn it a few times during cooking and add a squeeze or two of  lemon…

And just to reassure you this hasn’t turned into a gardening blog… I will return with some quilting related posts soon…:O)

Blessings

Michelle

Have you tried an electric fence to stop Peddles????
Lucky you that you can grow vegies. I have tried a few times and found they don't like our bore water.

Pebbles is gorgeous and obviously enjoying her sleep in the sun.
Your vegie garden looks great, and so neat and tidy too! We have some kale growing as well. Think I will cook it the way you do for a change, as we mostly just eat it raw. It was nice to see some photos of your garden.

You garden looks fabulous, Michelle! It puts mine to shame hehe...

I've allowed a four month old puppy from the SPCA "climb into my heart"..unfortunately SHE wanders all over the garden too. Looks like Pebbles is enjoying the sunshine!

Your garden is looking great Michelle, lovely tidy little rows of plants. I grow from both seeds and punnets of seedlings. My parents bought me a little shade house last Christmas which like your cloche will be perfect for young plants.

Ha! I pulled a few weeds this morning then later discovered that 'Zac' had decided I'd made a nice lying spot for him - grr! Your garden is looking great - I'm usually a seedling planter as I am a bit disorganised for seeds - and I'm afraid my winter vege garden is looking a bit bare!

Beautiful photography Michelle! Your garden looks great, I don't have a dog problem, just a chook problem!! I grow from seedlings and just have one quarter planted up at the moment so mine is a bit bare too!
