Hiatus...

I have had little time to blog recently and have felt bad for neglecting my little blog, but as I'm sure you know life tends to have it's busy times when something just has to give!  I think often of my little blog sitting here waiting for me to return, and what I could fill the pages with and before you know it that is such old news that I no longer think it's applicable to share!  Here in New Zealand it is the school holidays for two weeks so I thought I would give myself a blogging hiatus, two weeks where I wont stress about my little blog, two weeks of spending some quality time with my kids, maybe some fishing, definitely a bit of walking, perhaps a spot her two of shopping, read a little, actually make a start on my new gardens... I'm sure you get the picture.  So I will try and keep the camera handy, and be back in two weeks with lots to share! But before I go I thought I would share a couple of highlights from my week...

Just for fun I thought I would show you the spectacle my husband and our worker Aiden (that's him in the picture) were greeted with the other morning. That's a palm kernel feeder she's sitting in!

Have you ever met 'Murphy'? Have you seen him anywhere? Can you tell me where he's at? He really does have a lot to answer for!  You see Thursday we went to Wanganui for a little school trip to the museum, and I was ultra organised, I made lunches the night before, had everything ready just to grab and rush out the door, I even had the camera at the ready with two sets of fully charged batteries!!! Any way we arrive at the museum to find there's a small quilt exhibition, and the teachers know I am a quilter, so with a resigned look she says off you go and enjoy yourself, Woo Hoo! It was so nice to roam at my leisure, with no kids! It was just me myself and Murphy! Now where did he come from?  How did he sneak in? Armed with the camera I prepared for the photo shoot...

insert photo's here

Did you see all the lovely quilts? Nope? Well that was Murphy's fault... Yup I had two sets of fully charged batteries, and an SD card that kept saying card error, argh!!!
But if you go here http://cottonon.blogspot.com/ you will be able to see some of their fabulous work!  Needless to say I enjoyed myself anyway and came home feeling inspired.

I will share some photo's of our new home when I return and maybe a couple of quilts too, you never know!
