Friday Night Sew 'n' Tell

For the Friday Night Sew-In I made binding for my Sudoku Quilt...

I picked it up from my Long Arm Quilter during the week, I let her talk me into trying a new panto called splat(it kinda goes with the flowers) and I chose a green thread!  That is so out of my comfort zone, but I think I'm rather fond of it all the same. We had trouble finding a backing to match, we chose one that had most of the colours in it and I liked it but now that I've got it home I'm not so sure.
I will share a pic when I've sewn the binding down.

Bev from http://kaingahappenings.blogspot.com/ wrote on her blog the other day about being grateful and asked the question 'What are you grateful for?' It can sometimes be a hard one to answer, we have so many things to be grateful for and it is so easy to take things for granted.  Today I am thankful we live in a country where we are not persecuted for going to church, for a nice warm fire to snuggle up next to, for my family who are happy and healthy, for friends and relations who just drop by for a cuppa.

What are you grateful for?

That quilt certainly looks different for you, I hope you come to love it. I didn't manage the FNSI, I was so wesry after my day at the Festival of Quilts I was in bed by 7 p.m! I have so many things to be grateful for, I just feel so blessed but I think at the moment I am most thankful for the wonderful people in my life.

Your quilt looks awesome, can't wait to see it when you get your binding on. Aren't FNSI nights great, I feel like I have 'permission' to get busy, even though I know I could do it any other night I like, I just seem to enjoy it more! Crazy, I know.
