Better late than never…

Better late than never or so they saying goes…  Last Friday Night I missed out on the Friday Night Sew-In because I was babysitting 3 of my gorgeous nieces(that’s what my sister wanted for her birthday gift this year) hence no sewing! Today my hubby and DD1 left for a horse show in Feilding and I decided my other 3 children can fend for themselves for an evening, I’ll buy them tea to make up for it though! *grin*

So I thought I would share what I plan to work on…

I want to piece 2 backings for quilts I can’t show yet and work on this table runner project…100_6337 (708 x 532)I also plan to make some coasters for a friend as a house warming gift(the house warming was last Sunday!)

I plan to order some fabrics to make this quilt…

My nephew and his partner had a baby boy this morning! Little Jack Singfield. We hope to go visit tomorrow:oD I spotted this pattern the other day and thought it would be perfect. It’s cute and simple and shouldn’t take me too long!

I know someone else is making him a quilt too, but I’m sure they won’t mind having two quilts.

And if I get time I want to start a new project ;o) with these…

100_6329 (708 x 532) I’m picturing a log cabin, what do you think?

I do have plenty more to add to this list but I think this will do for  now.

Have a great weekend!

If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. Psalm 139vs10

Welcome to little Jack, I hope you have a lovely time meeting him today - photo please :) Love all your plans and projects, that pattern for Jack looks really smart - not too baby-like either so it will be used for a long time. Babysitting for a birthday gift is a great idea, giving time is wonderful. My daughter gave me a voucher for her making 30 cups of tea for my birthday once, she'd drawn little boxes so she could tick them all off! It was a great pressie.

Hello Michelle,

Good on you for providing a wonderful present with the babysitting. Congrats on the new baby nephew, I am sure you have had lots of cuddles by now. Hope you managed to get a lot of sewing done.
Happy Monday.
