What’s in your bag?

Well you may not have noticed but I have been chatting away here on my blog for 3 years now, well it was actually 3 years last Friday on May the 4th, I did remember and I wanted to post but I have been so very busy lately. Busy with family commitments mainly, a big chunk of it being taxi driver to my eldest daughter Ruth who has many horsey activities during the week. She wears me out just thinking about everything she does… I will do a post all about it some other time :O) I can’t wait til she gets her license!

I thought being how it is Mothers Day here in New Zealand and I missed my blogging anniversary it would be a good time to have a wee giveaway… here is what I plan on sending the lucky winner…

A Schnibbles pattern by Miss Rosie’s Quilt Co. a strawberry bag, some washi tape(fabric tape) and a pretty birdie pin cushion.

To enter I would like you to answer a question for me… What’s in your bag? Or rather what’s the oddest thing in your hand bag right now? A few years ago I was at a bridal shower and we all had to bring out our hand bags, we were asked different questions like who has a photo of their loved ones in there wallet or who carries a hanky, or a toothbrush etc etc… then we were asked “What is the weirdest thing you have in your handbag?”… and one young lady pulled out a wooden meat cleaver!!! There were quite a few chuckles over that one… she claims it was in there because she had to return it to a friend… :OD So what do you have in your handbag?

I will randomly pick a winner next Sunday…

Sneak peek

I have been quietly working away on my KHS project for this month, well actually several projects, I am looking forward to sharing them with you but you will have to wait until later in the week after we have had our KHS day… I have quite enjoyed this challenge and yes at times it has been a challenge but the end is in sight!

Before I sign off… I’d just like to say a big Happy Mothers Day to my lovely Mum and to all you other lovely Mums out there too!

Blessings

Michelle

Things vary in my bag depending on who's with me & how big the bag is..........Trumpet mouth pieces, rugby mouth guards, apples,& of course years ago nappies, d.f.i.p.b ( damp flannel in plastic bag). I find the best way to keep everyone elses stuff outta MY bag is to have a small bag.
Happy Mothers/blog day to you.

I always carry a tape measure. And a pocket knife (that I won in school in 5th grade. Ah, the good old days). And toothpaste. Not all to be used at the same time, of course. :)

Happy mother's day!

Happy Blogaversary!
The contents of my bag varies but always includes a tape measure, a tin of vaseline and a piece of upholstery fabric that I'm trying to match some braid to! (I've been looking for 4 years!!)

Happy Blogaversary, and hope you had a Happy Mothers' day too. (I remember too well those years of carting kids and horses around all and every weekend!) I used to carry a stapler in my bag so that when I photocopied the newsletters (for various groups) in town I could staple then and post them off straight away - that raised a few eyebrows at a bridal shower!

my coworkers (all in 20's like me!) would say my hexagones and supplies to work on them. I say my multi colored collection of fine point sharpies. I LOVE them! I really try to keep my purse clean, so not much space after quilt supplies, sharpies, keys, a book, an apron (for work, I work at Starbucks) my wallet and stickers/lollie pops for teh girls., oh and a pull up for Hazel who is 2 1/2!

Hello Michelle,

Congrats on your blog Anniversary, love reading what you are getting up to even the taxi driving which seems to go on no matter how old they get. Nothing weird in my bag, though I always have a notebook and pen because you never know when you need to write down the name of a plant or book etc. I did have a knife one day in my bag, was out shopping and a announcement came over the loudspeaker that they were giving away knives. So I went along and got one. Felt a bit iffy afterwards walking out of the shop. It made me think what everyone else has in their bags.

Happy days.

Congratulations on your three years of blogging. The most unusual thing in my handbag is a red foam clown nose. I started carrying it when our kids were little and would put it on when I felt we all needed a laugh. You'd be surprized how quickly tears will stop when Mom is wearing a clown nose. It works with other people's children too... even with adult friends who are feeling down.
