FNSI results…

I managed to get a good chunk of gardening done yesterday, it really needed some TLC! I have never planted Zinnias before so I gave them a go… I planted them along the edge of the vege garden to encourage the bees…

I will definitely be planting them next year… they are such happy flowers!

Last night I sewed on a really old project I dug out of the back of my wardrobe the other day, I am not going to go back and find out just how old it is, that could be embarrassing…;O) Originally I planned on making it into a quilt, but have decided instead to make it into a big floor cushion for Olivia…

I have a few more squares left over to make a smaller cushion and then I can be done with this project and have an empty box… to start another project of course…:o)

I tried a new recipe for dinner tonight, it’s really good…Sweet Potato and Cauliflower Soup I changed the recipe a little though, instead of water I used bacon stock(because I had some in the freezer) and added 2 carrots. I know it’s kinda weird having soup while the weather is still so warm but the evenings (and the mornings) are a bit cooler and it’s getting darker earlier, maybe I’m just ready for some cooler weather…

I’m going to head off now and see if there is any soup leftover…

Blessings

Your garden is so colourful, mine is drab, sad & bad! You must have been watering to keep everything looking so happy :-)
Your UFO turned out sweet.
Roll on winter, soup, warm fire & snuggled up under a quilt......does life get any better than that?

What a colourful blog post! Very pretty. If you're ever coming down to Palmy sing out and we'll meet up for lunch. I'm in Levin, but I'm sure we could arrange something!

I seriously love zinnias...the past few years I haven't had much time for gardening though it was a favorite hobby of mine in the past. You remind me how much I love these flowers...I must plant them this year! The quilt is lovely!
